In order for a cosigner to be on your title pawn with Panhandle Title, the cosigner will be required to be a registered co-owner of your vehicle. If your cosigner is not currently listed as the co-owner of your vehicle, you can visit your local tax collector’s office to have them added as a registered co-owner on the vehicle. Upon the completion of this step, you can ask the tax collector to print a fast title if you prefer a paper copy of your title or ask them to keep the title electronically held through your state to not delay the ability of processing your title pawn application by waiting for the physical copy of your title to come in the mail from the state.
If your title already has an additional co-owner listed on the title, there are some circumstances that allow us to process your title pawn application with or without the co-owner, it all depends on how the names and the ownership is connected. If on your title or registration, your name and your co-owner’s name are joined by “and”, both owners will need to be present and apply for your title pawn application. If on your title or registration, your name and your co-owner’s name are joined by “or”, either of the owners can apply individually for a title pawn. If on your title or registration, your name and your co-owner’s name are joined by without “and” or “or”, both owners will need to be present and apply for your title pawn application as “and” is assumed.
Cosigners are beneficial on title pawn applications in situations where you are unable to provide proof of residency if all of the bills are in your partner’s or spouse’s name or in the event that you can utilize the household income to maximize the amount of your title pawn approval with Panhandle Title, but cosigners are not always required. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept a cosigner on your title pawn application, unless they are one of the legal owners of the vehicle.
